Joe and his family have lived in Waukesha County since 1986. He has worked for companies such as Phillips Petroleum, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and General Electric in the areas of Product Development and Marketing. Since starting his career as a real estate broker and property manager in 2004 he has also been involved with a number of community and service organizations such as The Acts 2 Church, Interfaith Senior programs, The HOPE Center and the Delafield Chamber of Commerce. Joe and his wife, Pat, currently live in Delafield and have three grown children and six grandchildren.
Jeffrey A. Thiel, CPCU
Since graduating from UW-Eau Claire in 1979, Jeff has spent his entire career as an independent insurance agent and broker in Wisconsin, specializing in property casualty programs for public sector and non-profit organizations. He is past President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Wisconsin and current chair of their Government Affairs committee. He’s been married 34 years to Cindy; they are the parents of two daughters and one son, and reside in Oconomowoc, WI.
Lynn is a lifelong resident of Wisconsin and graduated from Carroll University in 1992 with a BA in Accounting. She started her career in public accounting and then worked in the construction industry as an Accounting Manager, Controller and Chief Operations officer at two local companies. She is now the President of a small local manufacturing company. Lynn has been involved with Family Promise since it began hosting families in 2014 through her church, Delafield Presbyterian. Lynn maintains her CPA credentials. Lynn lives in Hartland with her husband and 2 children.
Coleen grew up in Waukesha County, returning in 1996. She earned her MS in Counseling and professionally has worked with youth, adults and families in counseling, social work and ministry roles, currently working in behavioral health in Waukesha County. Most gratifying has been the many opportunities and persons met through volunteer and mission work both in Waukesha/Milwaukee counties and throughout the United States. She and her husband Tim have five children and live in Oconomowoc.
Among other positions, Glenn has been the Senior Law Clerk for Waukesha County, a Prosecutor for Waukesha County, Director of Distribution for Four Star Beauty Supply and General Manager of Wisconsin Freeze Dried. As an attorney he specialized in Guardianships, Juvenile and Family work.
He has done volunteer and/or pro bono work for Big Brothers Big Sisters, City on a Hill, the Glenn R. Davis Memorial Foundation, New Tribes Bible Institute and is an avid supporter of Upward Sports.
He earned his BBA in Finance and Economics from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh and his Law Degree from Marquette University. He is an Eagle Scout and retains several quality certifications. Glenn resides in New Berlin with his wife and two sons; their home church is Spring Creek Church in Pewaukee.
Patrice earned her BS in Education from Ohio State University. She continued her graduate studies at Southern CT University and University of WI and completed a Teaching Fellowship at Yale University. With over 20 years of teaching experience in public and parochial schools, inner-city and suburbs, Patrice has focused her outreach efforts on women, children, and families. She has enjoyed leading programs at her parish, St. Anthony on the Lake, in children and teen ministry as well as serving as School Board President and Fundraising Chair for many years. Volunteering and leading teen outreach programs at Hope Center, Waukesha Women’s Center, and St. Hyacinth food pantry have been wonderful experiences for her. Patrice and her husband, Mike, live in Waukesha and have two college-aged daughters.
Rebecca has lived in Waukesha County’s Lake Country area for more than 40 years. A writer and photojournalist, Rebecca has had hundreds of works published in award-winning newspapers and magazines; covering community feature stories about people, organizations, and events happening throughout the community. During the spring of 2020, Rebecca put her photography skills to work by taking photos of families at home and in their yards through the “Home Is Where the Heart Is” fundraising effort for Family Promise of Waukesha County. Rebecca also serves on boards for the Oconomowoc Scholarship Fund and Oconomowoc High School Band Aids nonprofit organizations. She and her husband and two daughters live in Ottawa.
Sarah Erickson-Bhatt has been involved in breast cancer research for more than ten years. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at UW Madison working with fluorescence lifetime microscopy and magnetic resonance imaging to study breast cancer metastasis. She has been externally funded by grants throughout her academic career including pre-doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships from the Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Program and the American Cancer Society. She is a member of the biomedical engineering honor society Alpha Eta Mu Beta, and has served as secretary and president of the University of South Florida chapter of the Society of Physics Students. She lives in Wales with her husband and attends Emmanuel Church.
Janis graduated from Marquette University in 1985 with a double major in Education and Human Development. She worked as a middle school teacher in both Catholic and public schools for 10 years beginning her career with Milwaukee Public Schools. After this period of work, she and her husband moved frequently due to his career, and she transitioned into Pastoral Staff work as a Christian Formation Coordinator for Catholic Churches. She designed programs, created retreats, wrote curriculum, trained staff and volunteers, and taught classes. She worked for St. Odilia’s, Tucson, AZ; St. Augustine’s, Chesterfield, VA; St Mary’s, Oak Ridge, TN; and St. Isadore the Farmer, Orange Cove, CA. Janis, her husband and their four children returned to settle in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin in 2005. She continued working for St. Jerome, Oconomowoc; St. Catherine of Alexandria; Mapleton and St Joan of Arc, Nashotah. In 2016, Janis transitioned to working at the YMCA at Pabst Farms as a Wellness Coach.
Stephanie Zacher is a Sales Professional in the Communications industry with 16 years Sales Experience. She holds a Bachelors degree with a major of Sociology. She has a passion for helping others and enjoys volunteering. She volunteers at Family Promise with her teenage son and is also going to start volunteering at the Women’s Center.
In her free time she likes to spend time with her son, friends/family, and boyfriend. She enjoys running and ran her first marathon in October 2019. She also enjoys fishing, reading, and walking her dogs.
James graduated in 1994 from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Political Science. He has lived and worked in Waukesha County for the past 20 years. He is currently the Director of Financial Institutions at The American Deposit Management Company in Pewaukee. He holds a Series 50 license as a Registered Municipal Advisor. He has spent his career in the financial services industry with companies such as Wells Fargo and RateWatch. He has done past volunteer work with St. Vincent DePaul, Cooperating Congregations meal program, Special Olympics of Wisconsin and Habitat for Humanity. He also volunteers as a track coach at St. Charles School in Hartland and spent 15 years as a WIAA basketball official. James and his wife live in the Town of Delafield with their two daughters.
